Access Auditing

The William Keown Trust has over 30 years’ experience in disability issues, including access in the built and open environment. The Trust uses wheelchair users and access consultants in the auditing process so you can be sure that you will be getting a thorough and professional service at reasonable prices.

Access AuditingWith the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act in 1995, public and private organisations and businesses are subject to this law and so they have to ensure that their premises are accessible for people with disabilities.

A disability access audit will ensure that your building is compliant to DDA legislation, and therefore will mean that it is fully user friendly for people with disabilities, giving you the peace of mind that all members of the public will feel comfortable in your building and you will not have to turn anyone away due to poor access or facilities.

We can also offer a consultancy service in the design stage of your new construction process and offer advice on accessibility issues, something that could save you thousands when the project is completed. Access statements can also be given to architects and designers where clarifications on certain design issues need to be dealt with.
